We're a looking for a Business Architecture Team Lead to join our Business Architecture Practice in the Digital Transformation and Data (DTD) division in Macquarie.


The Business Architecture Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of Business Architects in the Division and developing, mobilising and ensuring success of business architecture engagements.

This role will report to the Business Architecture Practice lead.


This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a combination of thought leadership, strategic thinking, business acumen, and strong people skills.

The Business Architecture Team Lead will have the opportunity to work with a variety of partners across the organisation and plays a key role in contributing to their business strategies and outcomes.


Key responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of business architects, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as needed.
  • Design engagements that will deliver value in alignment with strategic goals and partner's needs.
  • Support with education / onboarding of stakeholders on Business Architecture mindset, role, and ways of working in the context of our service offerings.
  • Manage the business architecture engagement portfolio.
  • Oversee business architecture engagements with the business architecture team and ensure delivery of highquality solutions that meet the customer's requirements.
  • Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and resources for the Business Architecture practice to ensure successful delivery of engagements.
  • Conduct retrospectives with business architecture team members and identify improvement opportunities to further mature and evolve the business architecture practice.
  • Develop and publish business architecture practice materials.
  • Improve awareness and understanding of the usage of Business Architecture in business context.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with the DTD Partnership team and our partners to ensure ongoing success and identify or contribute to new opportunities for engagement.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to business architecture.
  • Extensive business architecture experience, or in a related field, with experience in engaging with Senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and project/portfolio management skills, leveraging agile ways of working.
  • Financial Services background is preferred.
  • Ideally have delivered within a business architecture practice and is familiar with the frameworks and methodologies of Business Architecture.
  • Experience with business/enterprise architecture tools and technologies.
  • Extensive experience with business transformation and change programs and how business architecture can help support that.
  • Well versed in digital technologies / digital transformation.
