Dementia Specialist - Aged Care - Perth


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Specialist to join a dedicated team in providing exceptional care to individuals with dementia within the aged care setting.


As a Dementia Specialist, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for residents and supporting their families.

The Role:


  • Provide comprehensive guidance and education to staff members on evidencebased behavior management techniques and interventions for residents with dementia.
  • Collaborate closely with residents and their families to identify individual goals, preferences, and needs, and develop personalized behavior management plans.
  • Plan, implement, and regularly review Behavior and Support Plans for residents, ensuring they are personcentered, effective, and regularly evaluated for efficacy.
  • Serve as an expert resource on dementia, offering support, training, and mentorship to staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requrements:


  • AHPRA RN/Allied Health qualifications required
  • Significant experience in Dementia Care
    essential:
  • Flexibility to travel around your location on a weekly basis
  • A sensitive and influential person
  • A health consulting background would be ideal
  • Someone who will be an advocate for these residents
