Description

Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Handyperson on a Full-time basis. Reporting to a Maintenance Manager & Supervisor.

Paid Hospitality Award rates M-F $24.87 per hour
Rotating roster

About the role:

Day to Day maintenance requirements
Daily checks & daily rounds of hotels and conference center
Requires attention to detail.
Painting
Repairs
No day is the same.

Physical Tasks

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
Move up and down a ladder.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and handeye coordination
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 Kilograms without assistance
Gardening duties, hedge trimming over head bushes, removal of fallen trees, digging out garden beds
Ability to work in relatively small spaces, when checking kitchen equipment, under benches or machines

About You:

Ability to multitask and work within tight timeframes
Previous maintenance experience advantageous
DIY skills to high standard
Flexible
Physically fit
Pride in personal appearance as requires liaising with guests, contractors, owners and management.
