Job Description:


The Trades Assistant will be placed in the workshop assisting with the receipt and dispatch of Genie products (Machines and Parts) through the workshop for service and Pre Delivery.


The Trades Assistant will ensure Genie products are received and dispatched effectively and efficiently in accordance with company procedures while adhering to all company policies and safety guidelines.


RESPONSIBILITIES- Receipt and dispatch of machinery and spare parts on a daily basis as directed.- Completion of documentation relating to all machinery movements at all times.- Timely completion of assigned tasks in the workshop.- Detailing equipment for dispatch.- Liaise with workshop management & stock controller regarding machine status and requirements whenever directed and in a courteous and respectful manor.- Following company processes and procedures in accordance with company policy and safety guidelines at all times.- Responsible handling of company vehicles, tooling, working aids, spare parts on a daily basis.- Respectful interaction between customers, fellow team members and management and contractors whenever required.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated interest in mechanics/vehicle/machinery repairs.
  • A Current Forklift License.
  • A Current driver's license.
  • EWP ticket and high risk license desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of CoR (Chain of Responsibility) desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions and instructions.
  • Actively take part in team group projects.
