Hey You:


A genU Ground Maintenance Supervisor supports people with a disability to learn new skills, develop confidence and flourish in a supportive workplace.

This is a hands-on role that is responsible for leading a team of 2-3 supported employees to perform ground maintenance work at a variety of different sites.

This work may be conducted at a genU site or at a customer's site, depending on the customer needs and the work required.


Each day presents new challenges, and it is the Supervisor's responsibility to use their skills and experience to find the best ways to keep everyone engaged and motivated while at work.

Also, as part of this role may involve working alongside another supervisor in a team of 2 that is responsible for all maintenance matters, including the general care of all grounds at one of our large customer sites.

This is a hands-on position which requires you to perform all aspects of grounds and gardening maintenance within the complex while adhering to OH&S guidelines.


Some of your main responsibilities:


  • Support employees with varying abilities to reach their full potential.
  • First point of contact for supported employees as they go about their work.
  • Oversee the productivity of the group, so the customer's expectations are met while ensuring all employees reach their full potential.
  • Coordinate any maintenance matters, including the general care of all grounds and day to day outdoor and equipment maintenance.

About you:


This is a hands on position which requires you to assist our employees with varying abilities to reach their full potential.


You will have experience in the following:

  • Previous experience working or supervising a team
  • A patient and caring disposition and the ability to make people feel at ease
  • Willingness to work alongside people of all abilities
  • High level written and verbal communication skills

You will also meet the following essential requirements:

  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain;
  • Current NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain;
  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID19 and meet the requirements of the genU Covid19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccinations during the recruitment process.
