Your role*:

We are seeking an intermediate to senior legal assistant to join our busy Litigation team. The role is job share, part time two days per week. You will be supporting a Partner, Senior Associate, Law Clerk and back up to the broader team.

  • Preparing various legal documents
  • Preparing briefs to counsel, court books and discovery
  • Digital dictation
  • Answering and administering all incoming phone calls, filtering calls, assisting with inquiries and collating and forwarding messages
  • End to end file management including opening and closing files
  • Diary and appointment management
  • Liaising with clients
  • Billing and timesheet recording
  • Other administrative tasks as required to support the immediate Litigation team

What you need*:

To be considered for this role you will be a team player with positive, proactive and flexible attitude; be able to pre-empt the needs of your operators as well as:

  • Exceptional organisation and prioritising skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Proven ability to work in a high volume environment
  • Experience with iManage and Affinity will be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite essential
  • Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and discretion.
