About the role

  • We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic

Science Laboratory Technicians to join our welcoming team for the following positions:

  • Full Time Continuing
  • Part Time Fixed Term 4 days per week school year
You will provide Science teaching staff with high level of assistance and support for classroom activities.

  • Duties include:_
- working unsupervised in a school science lab
- coordinating the use of scientific equipment and chemicals
- providing some in-class support to teaching staff during practical activities

  • Skills and Experience_
  • Have welldeveloped laboratory skills to plan and select appropriate equipment, techniques and organise work for students
  • Previous laboratory experience, ideally in a school environment
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and students
  • Qualifications_
  • Qualifications in Laboratory techniques, technology or services, or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience are highly regarded.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
