About the role

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic

Science Laboratory Technicians to join our welcoming team for the following positions:

Full Time Continuing
Part Time Fixed Term 4 days per week school year

You will provide Science teaching staff with high level of assistance and support for classroom activities.

Duties include:_

- working unsupervised in a school science lab
- coordinating the use of scientific equipment and chemicals
- providing some in-class support to teaching staff during practical activities

Skills and Experience_
Have welldeveloped laboratory skills to plan and select appropriate equipment, techniques and organise work for students
Previous laboratory experience, ideally in a school environment
Great communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and students
Qualifications_
Qualifications in Laboratory techniques, technology or services, or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience are highly regarded.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;

- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required:4 days/week (21.5 hours/week)

Salary level, range or hourly rate:School Officer Level 4 - $33.52 per hour plus Super
