Reporting to the Director - Integrated Supply Chain APAC, the Head of Projects - Operations will be responsible for leading the delivery of operations projects in line with the business and operations strategy.

This role will support the Operations team by bringing a strategic mindset through effective project management to deliver the technology, systems and infrastructure required to deliver strategic business objectives.


The Head of Projects - Operations will manage the interdependencies across the projects and programs, managing local and global stakeholders, establishing and implementing program governance, and effectively managing the resources across the entire operations project pipeline.


As this is a large-scale program, it is critical that the Head of Projects - Operations is able to identify and mitigate for risks in a timely and effective manner.

This role will also be responsible for providing strategic direction to the project teams and upskilling members of the team where required, in order to deliver on the outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely, on budget completion of identified projects.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of assigned projects, including taking a leadership role in the preparation of proposals.
  • Demonstrated use of project management disciplines and tools.
  • Manage project budgets and continue to review to ensure alignment or cost reduction.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement both internally and externally and at all levels of the organization.
  • Preparing business and commercial proposals for the PoW that will enable decision making by senior stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the progress made against the program plan and ensuring on time, oncost and safe delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities for transformation and optimization of the manufacturing, assembly and distribution functions.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience.
  • At least ten (10) years' experience in a program management role or senior leadership role in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrable strategic and program management and change management skills and experience.
  • Commercial and financial planning, modelling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse group of professionals in close cooperation.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Formal qualification in Engineering is desirable.
