Location:
Northern Rivers based with flexible work arrangement options

  • Clerk Grade 7/8 ($106,025 $117,363) plus super and annual leave loading
  • Full time temporary role up to June 2025

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing & Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.

To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses, and government.

When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.


About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to join our team on the North Coast, supporting the development, coordination and delivery of disaster preparedness and recovery programs, with extensive collaboration across multiple partners to support local governments and communities prepare for and recover from disasters, emergencies, hazards and risks.

You will help coordinate, develop and monitor relevant programs and projects, facilitate external engagements and training.

With your strong communication and relationship building skills, you will partner on joint internal and external ventures, ensuring visibility, exchange of information, effective collaboration and coordination to support positive outcomes for community, government and non-government partners.


About you


We're looking for community focused Coordination Officers with a proven track record in project management, program planning and delivery, coordination and implementation of preparedness and recovery services across different communities.

You will use your networking and collaboration skills to develop strong relationships and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

Along with your strong communication, engagement and coordination skills the following experience and skillset would be highly advantageous:

  • Experience writing concisely and in plain English in formal documents.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and be agile.
  • Project management and or service delivery
To be considered for this role applicants need to meet the following essential criteria:

  • Applicants must be Northern Rivers based
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.
