About the branch
The Corporate Services branch provides critical strategic and operational support services to ensure the continual success and advancement of the VGSO.
Balancing an appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the public sector, along with the requirements of operating in a competitive legal services environment, Corporate Services delivers proactive, effective and efficient services to VGSO's internal and external clients.
Functions within Corporate Services include but are not limited to:- Finance
- Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)
- People and Culture (P&C)
- Business Support and Administration
- Knowledge Management
- Business Analytics
- Business Development and Marketing
This role is part of the Knowledge Management Team consisting of a Knowledge Manager, Knowledge Management Solicitors, Records Management Officer, Precedent Developer and a Knowledge Assistant.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic administrator or an Archiving Assistant to join our Branch as part of the Knowledge Management Team that provides knowledge management, records management and precedent development services to the VGSO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Record listing
- Data entry into various systems
- Liaising with internal and external service providers
Skills and experience
You will bring with you to this role:
- Demonstrated experience in an office based administrative role.
- Experience using Microsoft suite, particularly Excel.
- A track record of excellent client service and a flexible 'can do' attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to function within a team environment and to communicate with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the proven ability to meet relevant deadlines.
- Good written skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to appropriately deal with sensitive and highly confidential information with a high level of tact, discretion and judgment.
- Knowledge of Records Management practices and archiving, data entry and/or indexing are highly regarded.
