What will you do?
You will undertake a variety of surveying work as per client's requests, manage day-to-day aspects of your projects including client interaction, fieldwork, calculations, safety management and the quality assurance of all work as well as other tasks including:

  • Organise job requirements with required pre-calculations (plans, field notes, dwg files)
  • Run site surveys in an efficient and professional manner
  • Create plans from field survey data
  • Compute survey data
  • Maintain accurate records of job progress
  • Implement controls documented for all specified tasks
  • Maintain professional development and training
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities

What you need to succeed
As well as having a 'no problems just solutions' attitude, you will need:

  • Minimum of a Diploma of Surveying or University Degree in Surveying
  • Previous experience at a surveyor level
  • Excellent written, spoken communication and interpersonal skills
  • White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
  • Driver's License
  • Experience in construction & earthworks
  • Extensive knowledge of 12D
  • Experience in control networks
  • Strong mix of customer service and technical proficiency

It would be an advantage to have:

  • Current First aid certificate
  • Experience in rail construction
  • Rail industry work (RIW) card
