Public Sector People (PSP) is looking to speak to experienced Accounts Receivable Officers for a Local Council to engage in a 2-year fixed term contract on a

part-time basis.

Previous experience in

mid-large scale organisations or Public Sector organisations will be highly regarded.

What you'll deliver

Generating of invoices on a regular basis from instructions received from Council service units with a high degree of accuracy.
Facilitate the Processing of Pathway debtors interface files on a daily basis, ensuring balances are correct and fix any errors found.
Assist in the debt recovery on outstanding overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.
Reconcile all debtor control accounts.
Investigate and follow up on debtor variances and prepare adjustment journals in a timely manner.

What you'll bring

Tertiary or similar qualification in Accounting
Demonstrated experience in accounts receivables functions with large ERP systems
Experience in corporate accounting environment, with a preference for direct experience in a local/state/federal government environment.
