Description

We are seeking a cryocentre plant technician to join an established team of 5, located in Dandenong South.

As a plant technician, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant.

This will be achieved through maintenance functions, plant monitoring and communications with ROC Operators, monitoring customer needs, and distribution demands, or as directed by the site Production Manager or Maintenance Manager.

The roster covers 12 hour shiftwork (rotating day and night) in a continuous operating environment, ensuring the site is continuously manned.

Your duties will include:

Assisting the ROC in daytoday plant operations
Remote site alarm response and limited remote operation
Arranging for callouts as required
Plant Logs; Look, Listen and Feel
Plant troubleshooting
Plant modification proposals and implementation
Employee and contractor supervision
Most importantly, handson maintenance around operational duties
And more.

Qualifications required are as follows:

Mechanical fitting experience OR Instrument or Electrical tradesman experience/certificate
Significant mechanical aptitude/experience
Conditionmonitoring experience
Daytoday tradesman management experience
The ability to troubleshoot/problemsolve
Industrial safety systems experience (PTW, etc.)
Computer skills
Computerised maintenance system experience

- _Preferred:_ previous shift work experience
- _Preferred:_ A current forklift licence.

- _Preferred:_ First-aid training.
