We have two positions on offer, both requiring a strong interest to continue and develop their careers in the challenging and exciting Legal Secretary/Assistant arena.

These are highly coveted positions, being part of some great teams and working for this high elevated and recognised brand.


ROLE 1

Legal Assistant - General Insurance area: A more junior style role, we are looking for someone who has around one to two years' experience supporting a team of lower-level Lawyers - i.e. Associate, Grads, Clerks etc. The matters worked on are mainly comprised of motor vehicle property damage claims. This role is paying up to $80K package. This role is open to 1st or 2nd year Law students and can be full time, 5 x days a week or part time for 4 x days per week. _No Working Holiday or Student Visa's please as this is a permanent role._


ROLE 2

Legal Assistant - Life Insurance, Superannuation and Financial Advice: This is more of an intermediate position reporting to two Partners and a Lawyer. You will be mainly working across life insurance and superannuation matters. The work is interesting and fast paced and we require someone with at least 3-5 years' experience in this area or similar. This role is paying up to $85-$90K package, highly dependent on your skills and experience. _No Working Holiday or Student Visa's please as this is a permanent role._


DUTIES

  • Preparing and drafting of documents and correspondence
  • Opening and closing of files
  • Diary management
  • Preparation of Briefs
  • Monthly billings and invoicing
  • Client liaison
  • Booking of meetings
  • General personal and executive assistant duties as required

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience in insurance matters highly regarded
  • Passion being a Legal Secretary/Assistant
  • High level of business acumen, attention to detail and use of initiative
  • Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and communication skills
  • Easy going, flexible and friendly temperament with a team player attitude
  • Fun, personable, welcoming, warm, and collaborative is you to a 'T'
  • Strong skills in MS Office, and Aderant and iManage preferable
