About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Nursing to join our team of teachers in permanent part time (17.5hrs per week) positions located at Ultimo Campus.


The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process.

The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.


About You
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:

  • A qualification at least one qualification level higher than Diploma (or equivalent professional experience). Highly Regarded
  • Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years postqualification experience in Acute care as a Registered Nurse, at least part of which has been gained over the last 18 months.
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse and have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Knowledge and understanding of accreditation requirements of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
  • To be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
