Position Information:
Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1437 students, including 67% students from a language background other than English.
It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort and a support unit.
The college has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, Cultures of Thinking, collaborative teacher professional learning, student voice, social justice programs and a creative and positive learning environment.
The college has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs.Selection Criteria:
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 78) and Industrial Technology
- Timber (Stages 5 & 6). Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Construction providing the qualification entry benchmark is met
- Capacity to work in a dynamic faculty team to design, develop, implement, and review teaching and learning programs and assessments.
- Ability to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments that engage students with a diverse range of student learning needs including HPG and EAL/D.
- Willingness to contribute to faculty and whole school cocurricular programs and activities.
