Key duties of this role:

  • Assist with the delivery of key projects and initiatives on behalf of the Strategic Water Initiatives branch. Liaise with technical experts from various disciplines to inform development of water management solutions and policy. Undertake desktop research, data collection, interpretation and analysis to inform the assessment of a range of water issues. Assist with consultation with other Government agencies, Traditional Owners, industry and community. Assist with preparation of Government documents, and other correspondence as required. Contribute to the management of Queensland's water resources by researching national and state Government water strategies, policies and legislation. Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting team members and sharing information. Be part of a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people. Other duties as directed and required.
