Mills Recruitment partners with a distinguished Western Australian manufacturing company that actively seeks to hire a Shop Floor Manager possessing extensive lean management experience. The chosen individual will strengthen and augment the already successful production management team, thereby contributing to the company's ongoing growth.

Responsibilities:

Shift Operations Oversight:


  • Supervise shift operations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) and team performance metrics, striving to achieve set targets.

Continuous Improvement Culture:


  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seamlessly integrating it into daily operations.

Maintenance and Efficiency:


  • Implement and oversee a preventive maintenance program, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Manage machine repairs to minimise downtime.

Leadership Development:


  • Coach and develop Team Leaders, enhancing their leadership skills and overall team performance.

Collaborative Environment:


  • Promote an inclusive, highperformance culture centred on collaboration and teamwork.

Lean Processes Implementation:


  • Implement Lean processes across all operational areas to optimise efficiency.

Hands-On Management:


  • Exhibit Felt Leadership qualities, demonstrating a proactive, handson approach to management.

Cost Management:


  • Manage costs, throughput, and scrap to achieve financial and operational objectives.

Safety First:


  • Develop and foster a safetyfirst culture.
  • Implement processes and governance protocols to ensure workplace safety.

Effective Communication:


  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to communicate key information and updates to the team.

Seamless Shift Transition:


  • Ensure the next shift is wellprepared for uninterrupted operations continuity.

Organized Workspaces:


  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces to promote operational efficiency.

Recruitment and Workforce Planning:


  • Handle recruitment, aligning with organisational needs.
  • Ensure new team members receive proper induction as per program standards.

Supervisory Schedules:


  • Develop and implement standard work schedules for supervisors and team leaders.

Backup Responsibilities:


  • Fill in for the Production Manager when necessary.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 5 am to 1 pm
