About the role:


As a Workshop Service Technician specializing in pumps, hydraulic and Pneumatic tools, your primary role is to maintain, repair, and assemble heavy machinery and equipment used in operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs, to ensure they operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems and faults utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to determine the root causes of issues.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and fellow employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment service histories.
  • Skillfully use and maintain specialized tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair.
  • Work closely with a team of technicians, engineers, and mining personnel to coordinate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the equipment operates optimally.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and indepth knowledge including hydraulics, pneumatics, and other machine components.
  • Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for equipment maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to safety at all times.
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in challenging environmental conditions.
  • Effective communication skills and a teamoriented mindset.
  • Physical fitness and the capability to lift heavy equipment components
  • A valid driver's license may be required
