Your responsibilities will include:

This is a unique opportunity to be an important part of the team responsible for the establishment of the production capability and management of production requirements for programs from concept to execution.
The role is primarily responsible for establishing a production capability through estimating, planning, monitoring & tracking production requirements, and acting as the primary interface to production development activities for both internal & external customers.
Your key duties include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the shaping of production requirements during capture phases prior to Request for Tender (RFT)
Lead the Production development in line with customer RFT requirements Manage Production capability transformation activities and support execution of department's strategy Develop a Production Management process suite to enable the Operations and Support (O&S) function to achieve functional, program and business performance objectives through a series of improvement activities Provide advice and effort to support the Engineering and Technology (E&T) function in design of product through production engineering techniques Drive and execute Production digital transformation initiatives and ERP system rollout Create the Production WBS, basis of estimates and required documentation during the various stages of a capture activity Lead Production Working Groups and participate as an active member of other engineering IPTs
About you: To be successful in securing this position, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Manufacturing/Production Engineering etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry) Extensive knowledge, ability and experience in the establishment of a Production Capability to Defence programs Extensive experience in leading production effort on a tender Extensive ability to develop ASDEFCON tender response documents Advanced experience in effectively transitioning a product design into a product Advanced planning, stakeholder engagement and execution of an ERP rollout Extensive experience in the provision of support services under a ASDEFCON Sustainment Contract Understanding of Technical Regulatory Frameworks and Standards (i.e.

AS9100) is desirable
