About the role


The Events and Facilities Manager (EFM) is a pivotal role that encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring seamless operations and exceptional experiences across all fronts.

This dynamic position requires a skilled professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence.

In this role, you will lead the strategic planning and meticulous execution of all events.

Additionally, you will lead the Front of House Team, ensuring smooth business operations and exceptional guest experiences through effective team management and coordination.

The EFM is responsible for optimising SA's physical spaces and resources.

This includes maintaining facilities to high standards, overseeing vendor relationships, and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency and workplace functionality.


What you'll do

Events Management

  • Oversee all elements of largescale events from inception to completion. This includes briefing and coordinating internal teams, external event agencies, speaker sourcing, venue selection, scheduling, logistics, budgeting, and supplier management
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to coordinate project management efforts and successfully execute crucial campaigns, brand initiatives, and incorporate campaign management strategies into event planning
  • Conduct postevent evaluations to assess event success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement, using insights to inform future planning and strategy

Front of House Leadership

  • Lead the Front of House team by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and professionalism to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer experiences
  • Ensure that the Front of House area is clean, organised, and presented professionally, with meeting rooms arranged to enhance the customer experience, including proper audiovisual setup
  • Collaborate with catering suppliers to optimise agreements based on business spending. Develop catering packages that align with stakeholder needs while remaining mindful of budgetary constraints

Facilities Management

  • Overseeing facility maintenance and operations to ensure a safe, functional, and wellmaintained environment
  • Managing facility budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts to optimise resource allocation and costeffectiveness

Management & Coaching

  • Works to keep all people 'on message' in both language and behaviour
  • Establishes a supportive environment with a culture of expectation setting, timely feedback, effective training, coaching, mentoring and support resulting in highperformance

About you

  • Extensive experience in customer services, event planning and front of house management
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems creatively, and innovate within the events space
  • Possess robust analytical skills, enabling the ability to make datadriven and succinct decisions
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new event management software and tools
  • Comfortable with a role that has occasional travel
