ABOUT THE ROLE


The position of Regional Sales Manager is to drive business growth through the execution of corporate, regional and local sales strategies, in securing product positioning and market penetration.

The Regional Sales Manager works closely with their team to capture and broaden market share, aid the achievement of customer satisfaction and business growth through focused business planning.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching and developing the sales team to achieve sales targets and optimal patient outcomes.


WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develops and executes sales strategies and activities in conjunction with division's goals; keeps up to date with industry trends and competitor activity, continually seeking information to challenge, modify and prioritize strategies; identifies competitor's sales strategies to counteract activity.

Business Development: Monitors sales performance, initiating change as required, preparing reports and analysis; integrates territory plans and account profiles into a broader regional plan and coaches sales team accordingly, prepares sales forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential; spends time with team members to ensure effective territory management and account targeting.

Sales Execution:Conducts regular sales reviews with team and Business Unit Leader; adjusts strategies in accordance with requirements; identifies sales forecast gaps and submits remedial strategies; identifies & recommends promotion programs and materials to help support the sales plan & strategy; actively supports divisional selling initiatives by proactively assisting in training and influencing their team.

People Development: Spends time in the field with team members and proactively coaches where required by providing constructive feedback; ensures team receive ongoing regular feedback, training and help in identifying, supporting and achieving agreed development objectives.

Building and Maintaining Relationships: Builds and maintains strong relationships and understanding of the customer; maintains contact with major accounts and key relationships seeking to identify and leverage opportunities; supports key customers with education forums; attend and participate in customer, company and industry sponsored events and meetings; develops and maintain relationships with functional areas.

Clinical Excellence:Maintains an understanding of the product portfolio and can differentiate each product line against competitor products.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Demonstrated sales leadership success / experience
  • Demonstrated commercial track record of success.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and coaching others.
  • Experience in developing a collaborative team environment that displays core values.
  • Tertiary qualification in life sciences or business management (desirable).
  • Ability to undertake regular travel and some international (required).
