    Job description:
  • The purpose of this role is to provide advice and assistance to the Principal Registrar and manage the day to day business and operational functions of the Tribunal including business support systems and resources. Further, the role will support the Tribunal in discharging its statutory obligations and ensure compliance with all regulatory, corporate reporting and departmental management requirements.

Hours per fortnight:

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.


Duties:


  • Provide high level advice, support, reporting mechanisms and assistance in meeting the organisations strategic goals and in promoting a supportive and collegial work environment through participation in the senior management team.
  • Identify, develop, manage, implement and review business strategies, systems, policies and procedures to assist Registrars within the Tribunal including advice relating to the improvement of service delivery. This includes statistical reports and KPIs of tribunal operations.
  • Monitoring and reporting on budget status; management/ payment of all invoices, member pays and any other financial responsibilities as directed; preparation of financial reports as required.
  • Coordinating the ongoing maintenance of facilities including management of security for the Tribunal by appropriately managing any risks arising from proceedings in the Tribunal; and general review, auditing and improvement of security systems and processes within the Tribunal.
  • Continual review of the case management system that includes the provision of training; coordinating IT systems generally for the Tribunal and maintaining the website.
  • Assist in the development staff including providing advice on performance related issues;
  • Undertaking statutory duties from time to time as delegated by the President or Principal Registrar including case management duties such as directions conferences or ADR.
  • Undertake any additional duties within the expected range of work of the position.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Relevant qualifications in business and experience in working in a statutory office environment.
  • Current drivers licence.
