HOPE has been a community service in Western Australia for over a century, providing much needed support to people affected by alcohol and other drugs, mental ill-health, youth justice issues and socioeconomic disadvantage.


We have an exciting opportunity for a IT Manager to join the Corporate team The position is full time, working Monday to Friday.


About the Opportunity:


The primary objective of the IT Manager is to ensure that the information technology is a business enabler, providing strong, secure, consistent systems and processes to support Hope's strategy and business objectives.


Requirements of the Role:


  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation.
  • Conducting regular system audits.
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff.
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system governance, updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Developing, managing, and reporting on IT budget.
  • Providing leadership and direction for IT Team (if required).
  • Running regular checks on network and data security.
  • Selfeducate / stay current with relevant technology and direction.
  • Working with People and Culture to develop specific IT training programs and workshops for staff.
  • Manage all aspects of the contract, operation and performance of external service providers.

About you:


  • Degree in IT or related field, or relevant experience.

Desirable Criteria:


  • Good understanding of technical infrastructure, networks, server, and storage infrastructure.
  • Project experience with system or infrastructure implementations.
  • Knowledge and proven experience in IT Service Management and related frameworks and standards such as ITIL V3, COBIT and TOGAF.
  • At least 2 years' experience as an IT Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Understanding of the metrics required to demonstrate service delivery performance.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for effective persuasion and stakeholder/staff engagement.
  • Experience developing and negotiating commercial contracts for IT services and Vendor management.
  • Strong customer focus; Acts with integrity; Effective team player; Good business acumen.
  • Strong written and oral communication with all levels of management and team members.
