About the role

This role is responsible for managing the financial close process for Personal Lending, including the accuracy and timeliness of month-end delivery requirements and timely financial information to the Australian Retail Finance Team.

Managing the financial close process for Personal Lending, including the accuracy and timeliness of month-end delivery requirements and timely financial information to the Australian Retail Finance Team.

Assist with the financial and statutory reporting obligations for the ANZ Rewards business.
Assist with the monthly financial reporting for Retail & Commercial customer remediation provisions and movements.
Assist with the cards net payment calculation model for issuer scheme fees and incentives.
Also includes supporting the Financial Control simplification agenda, incl. Elimination/Simplification/Automation of relevant financial control activities

The role is part of the Financial Control (FC) community of practice, with principal accountabilities being:
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
Implementation and monitoring of the Group's accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
Integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information.
Driving Future of Finance simplification agenda, ensuring consistency with objectives and a focus on continuous improvement.
Embedding a robust governance culture.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
A Bachelors' university degree and be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).
At least 5-7 years of professional experience in financial services roles.
Strong working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment.
Identification and effective execution of improvements to processes or reporting.
Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to senior stakeholders

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
