About the Opportunity


CCA Hardchrome Pty Ltd, a Berendsen Fluid Power business, is now seeking a Production Trades Assistant to join our team in Kings Park NSW 2148.

This role will see you providing support in the production process, and work alongside our experienced fitter-machinists and electroplaters.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Operating production machinery such as cylindrical grinding machines and lathes under supervision
  • Preparing jobs for plating under the guidance of our electroplaters
  • Operating Hard Chrome plating tanks and associated electrical equipment under supervision
  • Manipulating jobs either manually or with cranes and lifting devices
  • Maintaining and cleaning of the working area and electroplating equipment
  • Packing jobs and preparing them for transport
  • Loading and unloading jobs from trucks
  • Interacting with coworkers to share duties and responsibilities not necessarily related to the electroplating processes.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will possess;

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, workshop environment where chemicals are used and a desire to learn
  • A cando attitude and eagerness to learn new processes and skills (on the job training will be provided)
  • Valid unrestricted Australian driver's licence
  • Valid forklift licence
  • Previous exposure to production manufacturing environments
  • Previous experience working with lifting devices, such as overhead cranes, and exposure to lathes and/or cylindrical grinders would be advantageous.
