Eastern Health's Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is one of thirteen specialist mental health and wellbeing services in Victoria providing a comprehensive range of inpatient and community based multidisciplinary teams for infants, children and young people up to the age of 25 years and experiencing significant mental health or emotional, behavioural and/or developmental challenges, and their families.

About the role


The Chandler Community Team works to improve the outcomes for children and adolescents aged 0-25 years, and their families, experiencing significant emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties alongside a range of vulnerabilities, including trauma and family violence.

As the Team Leader, working in close collaboration with the Team Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide day to day operational leadership and clinical support to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical care, including the provision of a range of evidence based specialist interventions, to assist children, adolescents and their families/carers, to achieve improved health and wellbeing outcomes.

The includes provision of supervision and mentoring of early career clinicians will be an essential component of the role. You will additionally manage a small case load of infants/children.

About you


To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current registration with AHPRA; for Social Work, eligibility for membership of AASW

Demonstrated ability and experience in clinical and operational leadership

Highly developed clinical expertise in infant and child mental health

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Experience in infant work and family therapy is desirable
