We are seeking enthusiastic Sterilising (CSSD) Technicians in a casual, part-time or full-time capacity reporting to the CSSD Manager. You will join a well-supported, dedicated and busy CSSD workforce that will expand your skills and experience. A supportive and comprehensive orientation program will support your transition into this role. At Epworth we perform a wide range of complex surgeries across all specialities.

The recent introduction of the T-Doc instrument tracking system will assist you in your everyday practise to identify robotic, navigational and complex custom-made instrumentation.


To be successful in this role:

  • You are flexible to work across various shifts, are highly motivated with good problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt and embrace constant changes within a working environment.

You will have:


  • Certificate III in Sterilisation or equivalent preferably
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of infection control requirements and Australian Sterilising Standard (AS/NZS4187)
  • Excellent team work skills with ability to work collaboratively within a busy team with changing priorities and work demands
  • Outstanding customer services skills with ability to build close working relationships within the CSSD team, the operating theatres and other key areas
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use computer systems
  • High level of understanding of OHS, with good manual handling techniques and basic level chemical safety within the sterilising services
  • An understanding of and commitment to quality improvements

The annual salary range for Instrument Technicians - AUD $52,478.00 to $70,824 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).
