About the Unit
The Infrastructure and Facilities Services (IFS) portfolio is part of the Resources Division, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. IFS delivers strategic campus and asset planning, development of new infrastructure and the maintenance of existing facilities. In addition, IFS provides a comprehensive range of campus services including security and property services.

IFS aims to develop and operate campuses and services that support education, research and community engagement in accordance with the priorities of the Look Ahead Strategic Plan and the supporting Estate Strategy.

In doing so, IFS aims to support a vibrant student experience and positive staff culture.


Be challenged and imagine with us

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and manage teams consisting of internal and external stakeholders and service providers to ensure the successful delivery of facilities services within a precinct.
  • Establish performance outcomes and measures for key goals and define monitoring, reporting and communication requirements as well as providing day
- to-day management of internal staff.

  • Provide a local professional customer service interface, building stakeholder relationships to gain an understanding of stakeholder needs. Assist in achieving those needs, whilst managing their expectations.
  • Negotiate firmly and tactically in sensitive or contentious situations to resolve differences and achieve outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, cost plans and expenditure in accordance with approved budgets to deliver demonstrated valueformoney outcomes for the University.
This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).


How will you inspire us?
You will have a natural flair for collaboration, with the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally. You thrive on building genuine lasting relationships and have strong negotiation skills.


The successful person will also possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and have the ability to provide timely and well-informed strategic advice on matters across all aspects of planning.

You will have strong expertise in property management or managing a facility and the proven ability to anticipate and mitigate risks, ensuring operational excellence

What we offer
The remuneration for this position is from $102,667 +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
