We are seeking highly motivated and innovative APS 5 and APS 6 Data Management Officers to join our Smarter Data Program.

Successful applicants may be placed in one or more data management portfolios that may include stewardship, ethics, quality, catalogue, sharing (legislative and special purpose), security and access and operations.

As an
APS 5 Data Management Officer, in our Smarter Data Program business area, you'll manage and govern aspects of the data lifecycle and be responsible for delivery of tasks and project outcomes.

This includes planning the effective storage, acquisition, retention, preparation, use and sharing, accessibility and destruction of data.

As an
APS 6 Data Management Officer, in our Smarter Data Program business area, you'll manage and govern more complex aspects of the data lifecycle and be responsible for the oversight and delivery of tasks and project outcomes.

This includes planning effective storage, acquisition, retention, preparation, use and sharing, accessibility and destruction of data. You'll translate complex data management concepts into common language for internal and external audiences.

You'll represent the ATO and work closely with internal partners, other government agencies and the private sector to foster mutually beneficial outcomes.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in **Adelaide, Box Hill, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth or Sydney CBD.
