We are currently looking for

Port Development Manager on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week. This is a Permanent position, and we are looking for an immediate start.

Role Purpose:


Looking after a portfolio of port land and waters located in Fremantle Ports' Outer Harbour, the Port Development Manager will oversee a variety of functions and deliverables, undertaking the scoping and strategic planning of various programs of works for the area.

Working with various divisions across the business, the role will ensure project alignment and preparation of development plans for large precincts.

The role will also manage and oversee the various planning aspects of the particular portfolio, including the physical planning of both the land and marine based areas within the portfolio and day to day planning activities.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Coordinate all the functions and initiatives associated with the preparation of the Port Development Plan for the Outer Harbour.
  • Manage the development of scopes, goals and deliverables for the various initiatives of the portfolio and plans including timelines, tasks, resources and risk management.
  • Ensure program interdependencies and delivery is coordinated and managed.
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to manage risks, conflicts and dependencies.
  • Develop and deliver progress reporting across the program including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Develop ancillary precinct and structure plans for various port precinct areas, supporting the master plan.

Requirements of the Job:


  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in program management, development planning or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience in working with multiple stakeholders within a multidisciplinary/crossfunctional environment
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
  • Extensive experience working in a trade and commercial environment
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects and a good understanding of the key technical components of these projects
  • Proven advanced verbal and written communication skills including report writing
  • Broad business experience to be able to understand and deliver to desired business outcomes
