As the Corporate Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in the RBA's Future Hub, reporting to the Corporate Governance Stream Lead.


Your responsibility will be supporting the part of the Bank's response to the RBA Review aimed at uplifting corporate governance at the Reserve Bank.

Importantly, you will assist to implement a new regulatory and legal framework by engaging and developing trusted relationships across diverse groups.

You will lead initiatives for the establishment of a new governance board and related management structures to facilitate effective governance practices and decision-making processes, and continue to support these as they are embedded.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Considerable expertise in corporate governance, including board-level governance expertise, preferably within the financial services or government sectors.
  • Experience navigating regulatory and legal frameworks within a complex change environment.
  • Considerable experience (8 to 10 years) in legal, corporate governance or secretariat roles.
  • Well organised, self-directed and clear thinker and leader.
  • Large-scale complex change project execution experience desirable.
  • Excellent verbal communication and drafting skills for board level communication.
  • Strengths in stakeholder engagement across large, diverse groups to ensure goals are met within project timelines.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • with qualification in law being highly desirable.
You will have an impact by

  • Providing support for a new

Governance Board:

lead work to establish frameworks and processes to support the new Governance Board to bolster oversight of the management of the Bank in accordance with the RBA Review recommendations.

You will continue to support the Governance Board in an ongoing capacity as it gets up and running and changes are embedded.

- Helping to embed consequential changes to the management structure and committee processes to foster effective collaboration and decision-maki Program management: undertake a plan of Design/Implement/Embed activities and ensure successful delivery of our objectives for this stream of work within specified timelines and budgetary constraints

  • Stakeholder engagement:

Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives to gather insights, build consensus to support key decisions and ensure successful and sustainable embedding of change within the Bank.

Work with change management experts to facilitate a smooth transition to the new governance and management structures, providing training and support to key stakeholders to ensure their understanding and buy-in to the changes.- Program monitoring and assurance: working with program management staff, establish performance measures and reporting to monitor the progress, effectiveness and impact of the program, identifying any risks, issues, assumptions or dependencies that affect program delivery, and determining the corrective action plans to manage accordingly.

Work with our program assurance and audit teams to rectify any findings made.

You will report to the Corporate Governance Stream Lead of the RBA's growing Future Hub team.

The RBA Future Hub is responsible for leading and coordinating the Bank's response to the

Review of the Reserve Bank of Australia

, as well as aspects of

reviews of the operating environment supporting the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS)
