Propel your legal career by joining our market leading Tax practice in Melbourne, working across a diverse range of taxation issues.

, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and cutting-edge taxation matters and disputes in Australia.
The Clayton Utz Taxation team represents a strong and diverse private and public client base, working on a variety of matters, including:
- tax disputes including Part IVC proceedings and litigation;
- civil penalty proceedings, multi-agency investigations;
- ATO and state revenue office engagement including rulings and guidance;
- employment taxes, including payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG withholding, FBT, wage claims.
As part of our team you will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues across other practice groups, where tax issues intersect with our areas of law.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- 3 years or more post qualification experience;
- experience with tax disputes and litigation, including the evidential, procedural, regulatory and administrative contexts of the tax system;
- strong written and verbal expression skills and an aptitude for reshaping and expressing complex concepts concisely;
- some prior knowledge of employment taxes;
- qualification or training in accounting;
- some prior experience in a tax compliance role would be valued;
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, required for building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment;
- strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail; and
- outstanding client service skills.
In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter who is able to work autonomously.
