Monash Health is excited to announce a full-time (76hrs per fortnight), and a part time (30.4hrs per fortnight), fixed term positions, working Monday to Friday within its General Genetics Department, located at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.

Multiple incumbents will be considered for the role.

Applications will be considered up to HS1- You will be part of a small administration team coordinating the clinical genetics service.


  • You will be part of a larger multidisciplinary team of doctors, genetic counsellors and intake assistants.

About our General Genetics Department at Monash Health
Monash Health is the largest public health service in Victoria, employing over 22,000 people across a range of specialities.


The General Genetics Department sees prenatal, paediatric and adult patients to provide assessment, management advice, education, counselling and support for a wide range of genetic conditions.


About The Role
We are a small, but busy department. We are a friendly, welcoming and supportive team.

Our administration team is responsible for performing general clinic reception duties such as welcoming patients, answering phones, arriving, departing and MBS billing through the hospitals patient management system.

Administration assistants also perform general administration duties such as processing referrals, appointment booking, data entry and processing correspondence.


About You
You have demonstrated experience in an administration role in a health setting. You have excellent written and verbal, English communication skills. You thrive working in a fast paced environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You are a proficient computer user, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, iPM experience desirable, and the ability to learn new programs quickly.

You will also need to have Australian working rights.
