We are looking for an experienced
Maintenance Technician with an
Industrial Electrical background to join our supportive and friendly team.

You will provide high levels of technical support servicing our customer's equipment to ensure customer issues, incidents and breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently.

This role will be based primarily at our Canning Vale and Spearwood sites.

This will be a permanent afternoon shift attracting 15% loading and will rotate fortnightly between these 2 sites with these shifts:

Sunday to Thursday 4pm to 12pm
Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

Trouble shoot and problem solve to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
Carry out equipment audits and preventative maintenance tasks
Electrical fault finding, replacing contactors, relays, photo eyes
Programming drives, scanners, electronic controls modules
Troubleshooting PLCs
Lubrication, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors & gearboxes
Undertake training of new technicians
Seek to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of faults

Tasks and Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problemsolving equipment faults within a maintenance environment

Electrical: Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australian)

Trade Qualification: Certificate III

Electrotechnology
Your own transportation and current Australian driver's license
A commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
Be mechanically savvy (experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems)
Industrial controls understanding (PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
Ability to work in isolation and make decisions
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

The following will also be highly regarded:

PLC experience (we can provide training on Siemens S7 and SCADA systems)
Sound experience in Microsoft Office and report writing skills
Computerised maintenance systems experience (MEX)
Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems)
