About the role


We are seeking a values-driven SAES Response Coordinator role, who will be a member of the national SAES leadership team and will contribute to national plans frameworks and practice to ensure innovative and community members centred service delivery to meet current and future needs.

You will successfully

  • Plan for and lead the implementation of national frameworks and practice within the state
  • Provide expertise/ leadership on the establishment of state emergency response management/ activation plans
  • Plan and coordinate training exercises and community events with external service providers
  • Build partnerships with other agencies as required to ensure community members can access services to meet their needs
  • Contribute to a review of services and community needs and the development of a plan for future service delivery
  • Contribute to the planning and development of national frameworks and operating models for service delivery
  • Ensure there is appropriate TSA representation on statutory government and nongovernment boards, committees and working parties dealing with policy, coordination and service delivery responsibilities relating to disaster response.
  • Recruit, induct, train, manage and regularly engage with a response ready SAES response volunteer and employee workforce
  • Achieve a volunteer work force that reflects the mission and values of The Salvation Army to the local community
  • Ensure Noggin data is recorded, maintained and updated
  • Ensure volunteer and employee data is recorded, maintained and updated on system (Workday)
This is a part-time(19hrs per week) permanent position, located in Fullarton, SA.

You will have

  • Relevant qualification in related field or equivalent experience in the sector
  • Extensive experience in emergency and disaster response program delivery
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and values of The Salvation Army
  • A National Police Record check is required
  • A Working with Children Check is required
  • Travel within and to other states may be required.
