About the Role
An exciting opportunity has come about to join the Philanthropy team as the Mid Supporter Relationship Specialist.

This role will develop and coordinate a mid-value donor program (donors giving $1000-$10 000 annually), with a focus on growing the annual revenue.

You will manage and build meaningful connections with a portfolio of mid-level donors to increase retention, commitment, and engagement. You will also look to build the mid to major donor pipeline, with a view to increase support.


The Mid Supporter Relationship Specialist will bridge the gap between the high-touch major donor program and their mass fundraising programs.

You will be providing donors at this level with personalised engagement through meetings, events, telephone, appeals, and other written communication activities in order to retain lifelong connections.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the midvalue donor program to build relationships that drive higher giving, retention and engagement
  • Implement and refine the midvalue donor strategy and operational plan to grow revenue, improve retention and remain innovative
  • Develop and refine a multichannel approach for leading midvalue donors via cultivation, appeals and stewardship activities that are personalised
  • Lead the development and implementation of the recognition and impact program for midvalue donors
  • Collaborate with teams including Individual Giving, Grateful Patient, Major Supporter and Gift in Wills programs to deliver impact reports, events, thanking, donor moves management and personalised ask strategies
  • Collaborate with the Individual Giving team to deliver communications for core midvalue donors (donors giving $1,000 $4,999 annually) and highvalue regular givers that inspire increased retention, value, and engagement
  • Utilise data insights and supporter surveys to build relationships with donors and ensure approach is donor centric
  • Track donor communications, actions, and feedback in Salesforce
  • Other tasks as required by your manager

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role or in relationshiporientated roles
  • Exceptional personable, with proven skills at building and maintaining meaningful supporter relationships
  • Experience in developing engaging and inspirational communications, preferably within fundraising
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in interpreting data on donor/customer behaviour to inform strategy
  • Collaborative team player able to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
  • Experience working with marketing/fundraising databases
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive data
  • Passion and interest working for a not for profit
