The opportunity


As part of our growth, we're looking for an education-minded
Content Design Instructor to join our team and take our content training and implementation to the next level.

This role sits within our Educational Content team, focusing on the design of high school content, reporting to our Content Design & Innovation Lead.

What you'll be doing:


  • Collaborate with the content production and design teams to identify training needs
  • Implement effective, efficient and engaging training programs and workshops for new content, products and team members
  • Assist with the creation and visualisation of training material and media (documentation, instructional graphics, audio, video, simulations, roleplays, games etc.)
  • Maintain and update current training programs, documentation and visual style guides
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate training and workshops
  • Support new employees through design and content training and connect new starters to senior mentors and buddies across the company
  • Provide constructive feedback—both formal and informal—throughout the training process
  • Track employee training performance and report back to the Content Design & Innovation Lead and relevant Subject Team Leads.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Either 0-3 years experience in design instruction or recent graduates from a design-related degree.
  • Basic visual design skills and knowledge of design programs
  • An understanding of design principles and visual design skills relating to layout, colour, typography, imagery and graphic organisers and how to reuse them as templates and at scale.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to write effective copy and instructional text
  • Detailoriented with an excellent eye for design and high quality standards
  • A passion for education especially at the high school level
  • A proactive and deliverydriven mindset with a strong sense of shared goals
  • A keen interest in accessible design practices
  • Criticalthinker and problemsolver with the ability to multitask and learn on the job
  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity as you'll often work on projects in their early stages

Bonus points:


  • Understanding of various teaching methods and tools
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Previous experience in training or a related role isn't essential just a readiness to learn new skills in instructional activity and content design
