We are looking for an experienced Production Superintendent to join our refinery in Kwinana.

Working in this integral leadership position, your key responsibility is to monitor, coordinate and supervise production and assist as required for the planned and unplanned maintenance activities of the Operating Centre (OC).

You will encourage your OC to align with corporate policies, procedures and accepted professional standards to optimise business stability and production to achieve strategic business goals.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging change through implementing systematic business improvements using Alcoa Business Systems.
  • Accountability for all daytoday functions including safety and environment, people, production, maintenance, equipment management
  • Budgeting and cost control
  • Training and development of employees
  • Provide input into and implementation of the strategic plan and direction of the area.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical/Process Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (desirable).
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or process industry.
  • Bayer process knowledge would be highly desirable or a track record in a similar refining industry.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Influential leadership skills with the ability to manage change and create a high performing team culture.
  • Flexible leadership with experience of encouraging and championing a workforce that is diverse.
  • Business improvement and continuous improvement mindset.
