Your new role awaits
Coates currently has a great exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Solutions business.

In this key role you will be working across our high profile projects which will include the planning and execution of specialised product installations on customer sites.

You will manage end to end installations of our specialist structural and temporary works products whilst working closely with our customers, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards, local regulatory bodies, build code and internal policies & procedures.


A typical day will include:


  • Lead our uncompromising Safety-First culture throughout the organisation and customer relationships.
  • Ensure the compliancy of work to Coates policies and national/local code of practices
  • Develop and supervise the preparation of construction methodology, sequencing and quality assurance to ensure compliance with design documentation for all installations
  • Manage construction teams, delegate tasks and monitor productivity
  • Work collaboratively with Coates branches to organise plant, equipment and resourcing
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with customers keeping them informed of progres, anticipated delays and/or variations
  • Management and supervision of all subcontractors during the installation process
  • Foster a working relationship with operations and sales to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer expectations
  • Providing expertise and site specific input to the Engineering and Technical team to enable optimal design and installation methodology.
  • Work with the Sales and Engineering and Technical team in managing the quotation process for the installation of specialised equipment.
Undertake any additional duties within your skill set to complete jobs within scheduled timeframe in a safe manner
