Description
Our client is seeking to grow their in-house design team due to consistent growth and demand from clients across NSW.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing technical assistance to those leading the projects, including drafting /preparation of CAD drawings using MicroStation
- Designing functional layout plans
- Completing Road safety, blackspot and scoping assessments
- Establishing drafting standards
- Seeking approval for drawings from client and road authorities as required
- Attending client / authority meetings as required
- Assesses and designs road, intersection and parking layouts, including spaces, aisles and grades
- Prepares draft reports and other correspondence as directed
Experience:
- 2 years' experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCad skills (to intermediate level) preferred
- High level of analytical and reasoning skills
- Good communication and writing skills, with experience in the preparation and provision of traffic design advice
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and / or independently as required
- A mixture of both Government and Consultancy experience desirable
- Preparation of swept path assessment using either Autoturn or Autodesk Vehicle Tracking
- Experience with Design and Construction Projects
- Experience with preparation of Traffic Design Reports
