The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.


This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.


WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Interface Manager.


Job Summary:


The Interface Manager is responsible for facilitating the exchange of information between all disciplines interfacing with construction (namely design, environment, utilities, community, authorisation & permits) to ensure a correct and timely coordination between the different activities required to progress the works.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Contributing to the development, monitoring and review of the project's interface documentation;
  • Monitor status of interface agreements across the project;
  • Manages the negotiation of new stakeholder agreements;
  • Manages the approval process;
  • Assist in monitoring the status of Interface agreements across the project
  • Ensure Project Services Manager and other relevant internal Managers are routinely informed of project developments that impact the project's schedule
  • Provide input to the project schedule;
  • Develop, monitoring and review of the projects interface documentation:
  • Civil Engineering Drawings
  • ICDs
  • DITPs
  • Analysis of the interfaces between SSTOM and FIW Contractors
  • Assist with interface for statutory approvals
  • Liaise with all department heads to assist facilitation and resolution of interface:
  • Review technical interfaces
  • Management of the engineering/technical concerns with Sydney Metro
  • Register for all the transmittal received from Sydney Metro pertaining the FIW documentation
  • Register for ICDs (Interface Control Documents)
  • Register for DITPs (Detail Interface Test Plans)
  • Ensuring that the process of review is followed up, and once the documentations is accepted, chasing up the internal PLM agreement/signatures and then assisting in the formal submission to Sydney Metro (via OpCo)

Qualifications and Experience:


  • At least 5 years of experience working in a similar role on major civil infrastructure projects of comparable size and complexity to the SSTOM project
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders, multi construction teams and approvals on complex, multidisciplinary rail and tunnelling projects.
