As Manager, Early Learning Centres, this role will be responsible for leading a team to plan and scope the infrastructure needs for new Early Learning Centres (ELCs) across the state.

As a key pillar of the Best Start Best Life reforms, the Government has committed to delivering 50 new state-owned and operated ELCs in areas of need across Victoria, providing integrated services for communities including kindergarten and Pre-Prep, childcare and, where needed, other wrap-around early years services for children.

The role sits within Early Child Infrastructure Planning -State Project Branch but will be required to consult widely across the VSBA, DE and with stakeholders such as local governments and schools.

This role will be responsible for working with teams across the Branch, VSBA and Department to identify suitable sites for the ELC's, consult with stakeholders on community needs and plan the scope of the ELC needed.

The role will collaborate closely with the policy team for the ELC's and will lead on the planning and scoping of the ELC facilities through to project approval, at which time projects will be handed over to delivery teams for construction.

This is a newly created position with the Branch, established to ensure the successful implementation of the 50 ELC's as a key component of the Best Start Best Life reforms.

The Manager, Early Learning Centres is a leadership role within the organisation, and will be part of the leadership team of the Branch.

The Manager will have a high degree of autonomy, and will be self motivated and driven to produce results through collaboration.
