Our client is a very well known international vendor, servicing the intralogistics / grocery DC sector.
Proud of their close-knit and supportive working culture, they now have a leadership opportunity at their high-profile west of Sydney site.

The new appointee will lead a team of+20 Technicians and will mentor and coach the entire site maintenance team, in support to the Site Manager, in the day-to-day operations of the system.
Specifically they will:
- Effectively lead a team of electromechanical technicians in the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of an advanced warehouse automated material handling system
- Manage team leads and promote a sense of innovation, commitment, and success in all maintenance team activities
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development of the maintenance team
- Ensure the proper review of system condition through constant evaluation and analysis of system performance in conjunction with the broader team
- Lead the execution of efficient preventive maintenance schedules which minimise operational impact
- Direct the activity of the spare parts department to ensure the necessary inventory to guarantee system performance and the timely resolution of breakdowns
- Drive compliance in the fields of safety, human resources policy, and general best practices
- Support the Site Manager in the overall leadership of the local team and deputise in his absence with colleagues, the customer and internal senior management
About you:
To thrive in this role, it is likely that you have strong communication skills and have a strong, demonstrable track record in both hands-on maintenance of material handling systems in a customer-facing role.
Specifically you will be / have:
- Registered Electrician
- Strong experience in planned and reactive maintenance of major DC / warehouse / manufacturing or BHS automated systems
- Excellent customerfacing verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in leading and directing staff in a undertaking maintenance activities
