We are seeking an experienced Hardware Asset Manager to Manage customer hardware asset information in a Configuration Management Database. Manage Hardware assets through their asset lifecycle. Conduct analysis of Hardware information for accuracy and completeness. Generate scheduled monthly reports or unscheduled reports as required by stakeholders. Receive and process requests for asset information additions and changes and process accordingly. Effective management of the project baseline

  • Maintain and support the asset records and information in the CMDB.
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of CMDB information using accuracy processes.
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are met for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure customer scheduled reporting is delivered on time.
  • Analyse Hardware discovery information to identify areas of improvement.
  • Represent SACM HW at customer meetings and address customer requests and concerns.
  • Action customer requests for CMDB updates and requests for information.

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Experience
  • Over 1 year experience in a Hardware Asset Management role.
  • Experience in information and financial reporting.
  • Experience in request processing and queue management.
  • Experience in contractual fulfillment, SLA attainment, and process compliance.
  • Experience in working with Configuration Management Databases.

Skills

  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer management skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

Technical

  • Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Microsoft Word for writing documents and procedures.
  • Microsoft Visio for preparation of flowcharts and diagrams.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint for generation of presentations.
  • ITIL certification at Foundation level, or basic working knowledge.
  • Hardware asset management tools such as ServiceNow.
