Provide generalist HR support across the Australian and New Zealand business

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to provide proactive, handson HR and People Services support.

  • Fixed term, 12 month fulltime contract with the possibility of extending.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is the perfect opportunity for a true HR generalist to work across a range of departments and assist the global HR team in delivering timely, effective and proactive people and culture support.

As a critical member of the HR team within APAC, you will assist with multiple tasks and projects across recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, people data management, audits, HRIS management, performance reviews, employment relations and employee enquires.


  • Support the implementation and communication of policies, recognition, remuneration and reward programmes.
  • Support the development of the business case for any new programmes covering recognition and retention within the global principle and guidance.
  • Be part of the global HR department and assist in designing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring key people processes and projects.
  • Assist in creating a healthy, successful, highperforming culture and an engaged team through active relationship building and maintenance, quality and timely HR guidance, safe work practices and management of any concerns, queries or issues being raised by employees and managers.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy in all key operational deliveries, e.g. payroll, regulations reporting and filing, benefits services and staff movement records.
  • Assist with smooth running and upgrade of HRIS systems. Our client uses Workday and will require you to assist in running and maintaing the system and people data.
  • Experience in a People Services role preferably within a complex global business
  • Must have worked with Workday (HRIS) in previous positions and be technologically savvy
  • A practical understanding of the relevant employment legislation for Australia and ideally New Zealand however this can be taught through on the job training
  • Ability to manage HR caseload with differing priorities
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organised and proactive
  • A positive and solution focused attitude with the desire to contribute to the future success of a growing company
  • Exceptional customer/stakeholder relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing at a senior level.
  • Pragmatic, with a genuine interest in and curiosity about our clients business.

Our client's HR team is busy, dynamic, generalist in nature and places huge importance on living the values and leading by example.

This role will play an essential role in unifying teams, navigating change, supporting teams, assisting individual employees and will therefore need to have outstanding interpersonal skill sets.
