Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Advisor with a keen interest in community engagement to join their team until the end of

April 2025.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to advise on, develop, implement and provide communications services for community engagement, stakeholder relationship management, issues management, media relations, executive correspondence and internal communications to ensure effective relationship outcomes.

Provide key support as this organisation strives to develop creative strategies for how they engage with their community.

In addition to this, your main accountabilities will be to:

Assist in the facilitation of frontline stakeholder engagement and consultation activities to support the communications and engagement program.
Assist in producing high quality written materials in both traditional and digital mediums in support of the communications and engagement program
Build and sustain positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide highlevel administrative support, including the organisation of a program of community consultations and the collection and maintenance of community related data.
Provide communication advice and support in the areas of communication strategy and risk assessment, stakeholder and community engagement, and media and issues management related to transport infrastructure projects.

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need to bring:

A degree in communication, public relations, or marketing (desirable)
Sound experience in strategic communications and / or community engagement
IAP2 or equivalent training in community engagement and public participation (desirable)
Current Class C driver's licence with own vehicle
Experience in a communication or community engagement role dealing with infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, (desirable)
