About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced

Marketing and Communications Manager to join our school community.

Typical duties performed include, but not limited to:

  • Manage the school brand marketing
  • Plan and deliver or organise to provide timely information to parents, students and the community
  • Work collaboratively with the Principal to develop and implement the communication strategy involving a range of communication mediums and information sessions promoting the school/college
  • Responsibility for the development of communication strategies including public relations and promotional events such as Open Day that increase the positive profile of the College and support increased enrolments
  • Work closely with the Enrolments Manager to ensure the College's marketing and communication programs relating to enrolments are timely, effective and monitored
  • Assist in the development and implementation of promotional material, including marketing and communication strategies and initiatives
  • Original writing of communication material requiring discretion and judgement concerning content and design
  • Assist in the production, implementation and review of the school marketing plan and budget in consultation with the Principal and Business Manager
  • Coordinate the production of all major school publications including the newsletter and maintain content for the school's website to ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Collaborate with the Librarian to produce the College Yearbook
  • Draft, plan, write, edit and publish a variety of communications and other documents, which promote a positive image of the college to the general public, including images and designs for brochures, flyers and handbooks for publication
  • Develop and maintain a proactive and consistent online and social media presence to provide innovative good news stories to the media and local community
  • Develop and coordinate partnerships with Alumni members
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff and external clients to ensure the success of school marketing and events

About you:


The Ideal applicant will have:
- excellent project management and organisational skills

  • An ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines
  • Experience using SharePoint, InDesign and Mail Chimp (desirable)
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
