About the Company
Davidson Technology are currently supporting Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

DESBT are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join their growing team. This role will commence in early April and will be an initial contract to 30 June 2024


In line with DESBTS strategic objectives, in this role you will help support delivering of network, identity, cloud, and SaaS projects.


About the Role

In this role you will be reporting to the ICT Manager and will support the delivery of advanced technical solutions and digital innovation for the organisation.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Project Manager providing technical design and delivery oversight, delivery assistance, taking inputs from architecture, networks, security and other relevant domains to meet the endtoend technology needs.
  • Provide strong technical leadership in the development and review of technical designs and delivery of endtoend solutions.
  • Work with the external vendors, service providers and other government agencies, IT Architecture, Security, Network and delivery teams to ensure IT solutions are designed, secured, delivered and supported appropriately, meeting the solution requirements of the department.
  • Provide technical leadership of new and emerging technologies relevant to the workspace department.
  • Undertake other duties within the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, as require

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrate experience with firewalls preferably Palo Altos, F5s, Proxys, Microsoft Active Directory, On-Prem and Cloud services and technologies (AWS/Azure), Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Virtual Machines, SOE and Virtual Desktops.
  • Plan and design Azure API and associated data platform solutions.
  • Design and integrate Azure platforms in a manner which allows the management and provision of data in a secure and reliable manner.
  • Deliver and present proof of concept variants to prospective customers.
  • Undertake requirements analysis and solution architecture design.
  • Work with big data developers to ensure high quality access to and supply of specified data.
  • Ensure platforms and data solutions can be deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner through interaction and collaboration with DevOps specialists.
  • Provide strategic development and implementation of a project, related business strategies and organisational change.

The Benefits

This opportunity offers you an initial contract to 30 June 2024 and an
hourly rate of $107 per hour + Superannuation.
