The Facilities Maintenance Unit, forms part of the Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance Department delivering responsive customer service to Council's portfolio of Buildings and associated structures.
The Facilities Maintenance Operations Officer is responsible for the effective and responsive delivery of all reactive services for council owned and operated facilities and structures.
The incumbent will be required to have:
Proven experience in Facilities Maintenance and Management servicing a large portfolio of buildings offering a diverse range of services.
Impeccable customer service skills and a high level of technical expertise.
Skills and Experience
Relevant experience in the building industry, with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Building Act and Regulations, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian standards.
Experience in managing contracted services to provide Facilities maintenance services.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to perform as an integral team member within the organisation whilst fostering and developing interdepartmental relationships.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deal with complex issues.
Computer skills and experience in using current business software packages.
Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in a facilities management building or engineering related field;
A current Victorian driver's licence or equivalent licence;
Employee Working with Children's Check;
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
